The Birth Minimalist
Hi! My name is Shannon Steffler and I am
The Birth Minimalist.
Birth Minimalism is a movement of striving for simplicity & discovering what is most important to you.
My philosophy:
Birth is important.
How families are cared for is monumental.
The experiences surrounding this time can affect each family member in profoundly positive or soberingly negative ways.
Fostering trust in a woman's innate ability to give birth is useful.
Evidence-based maternity care can help parents choose the options that are best for their family. Evidence-based maternity care describes what is safest for mom & baby. The Birth Boot Camp classes I teach encompass this.
I am a mom of six children from grade school to college age. I've been married since 2003. I've been a Registered Nurse since 2020 with experience in geriatrics, labor & delivery, & hospice.
I have always been fascinated with pregnancy, birth, & babies since childhood. Teaching about it is one of my greatest joys. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Warmly,
Shannon Steffler, RN, CCBE
